AHREFs Backlink Email Updates Almost Always Wrong?

Has anyone else noticed this? AHREFs sends email updates weekly or bi-weekly with top gained and lost backlinks. I'll often manually check the "lost backlinks" from the most authoritative sites, because if they were truly lost I'd reach out to the site for an explanation.

Almost every time, the backlinks from the higher authority sites that I manually check after getting the AHREFs email isn't actually lost. It's annoying and inefficient.
