I might be close to getting my first SEO job but I'm clueless about the incoming case study

Hi guys,

Since the beginning of the pandemic, I've been trying to learn about SEO as much as I can. I created a blog and witnessed the whole progress. I've applied for a part time SEO job but it's more like Seo/Pr specialist. They basically want me to start link building campaigns for their service in the entertainment sector. The thing is, the website has no blog and the only thing they provide is the user data about the watching habits of users such as what they watch, from which countries they watch. I will need to reach journalists and some bloggers via email for a backlink. The thing is, the company is already huge and they have millions of visitors monthly. At this point I have some questions. First of all, what kind of a case study I should expect? How should I present it? (like a slide?) And finally, when I start a campaign, as the website won't be suitable for giving backlink in return, what should I offer the bloggers other than data or infographics?
