Hey!

We've had this issue for almost two years and we're dumbfounded. We have >400 properties in one of our search console accounts. When open search console it causes such high server load that we have to restart it.

I can't find ANYTHING or ANY info related to search console + server load on Google. Does anyone have any clue about this weird issue? It can't be crawl budget right? It doesn't crawl when you open search console?

We've suspected that it retrieves favicons from the server but this also seems trivial or unlikely to me.

If you don't have any answer, maybe you know how to potentially troubleshoot?

Edit: Might it be that it's verifying all the properties at the same time? If this was this issue, wouldn't someone else epxerience this?
