Switching from .net to .com

Hey guys, so i finally got the .com version of my domain name which is presently a .net.

I want to switch because of the higher ctr and I've heard some friends tell me that they would never click on a .net.

I'm not sure how many other people feel that way, but do you guys have any thoughts on the downside of switching?

I would also like to change themes too.

Please let me know your experience. my .net domain is 10 years old and I got the .com at auction, it is 13 years old.
