Moving blog from parent domain to a subdomain

Hello, dear community,

I would love to get your advice on one urgent matter.

I need to move my website's blog to a subdomain for a couple of months, and afterwards move it back to the parent domain.

How does it affect our SEO rankings? Moving to a subdomain means losing all the history we had at the parent domain?
