I have briefly heard about pinging certain backlink-articles, in order to get the backlinks indexed faster by google. Is this still a legit method in 2021? If yes, which websites do you recommend? I have recently conducted a domain-change/ migration for rebranding purporses and moved my site from Website A to Website B and have contacted some webmasters to update their backlinks to point towards Website B.

Should I get those pages pinged to accelerate the migration-process and the transferral of rankings?
