Question about keywords in domain name

Let's say hypothetically I sell cars. I want a domain with "cars" in it. Let's say I am torn between the domain carsinamerica.com and awesomecars.com

I am wondering if having "cars" first in the domain name makes a difference in the ability to rank for such a competitive keyword as "cars" .

I am probably over thinking this.... but wanted to get some opinions on whether this matters...
