How to improve SEO for my small repair shop?

I see everyone suggesting finding keywords(Have them) but just using the keywords in my website won't help much. Is a blog really a good idea, never seen a repair shop/mobile phone shop have one.

How exactly should I approach it? Links from reputable sites don't really make much sense for a small repair shop right? so what else can i do?
