Can someone help me understand the backlink profile of this website which has had exponential growth in organic views after a crazy surge in backlinks.

This website is 7 years old and for the first 6 years they gathered backlinks from a total of 9k unique domains and traffic between 1 and 3 million per month.

But last year they gained backlinks from 100k unique domains in just 10 months. Shortly after their traffic went exponential from around 1 million to 13 million per month.

Can someone help me understand how they achieved this by analizing their backlink profile?
