I'm new to Google Search Console and I've got two issues

Google doesn't use neither my website title nor the description meta tag, instead it creates it's own title and description. Why is that?
Google indexes my www subdomain, which means there's a duplicate of every webpage when you search for it. Is there any way to make Google not index the www subdomain?
