Google Disavow - To Use Or Not? - Is Google Using the Technology or Not?
I am trying to decide if I should be using a disavow file to announce to Google through Google Search Console links that are reported or seem spammy, etc.
SEMRush has a paid add on Google search when searching for 'toxic links' talking about it, it states "Backlink Audit - Audit your backlinks, analyze the toxic signals, send emails to site owners and remove harmful links that may cause a penalty from search engines"
On another page a few things are also mentioned by SEMRush: "Not all links are equal. In fact, the wrong type of links can harm your website and negatively affect your rankings, impacting organic traffic, and revenue as a result."
SEMRush also mentions "Go to review button in the Overall Toxicity Score widget".
Just a sampling above of companies (just one mentioned above) who seem to portray that you need to act on 'Toxic' scores of particular backlinks to your site (and disavow them via GSC).
Thoughts everyone?
