Struggling to rank well on Google with my Newsletter. Are there any small tips you can suggest?
I run a weekly newsletter (in the gaming vertical_) through Substack but have it on it's own domain (.com). One of the things I struggle deeply with is organic traffic. Despite being constant for a year and using keywords I'd like to rank for (both in the URL and posts themselves), I still cannot get the site to rank well on Google for things like "gaming news" , "gaming newsletter" , "esports news" or" video game news. I know it's a competitive area but there aren't that many gaming specific newsletters out there. It's a Newsletter but each email lives natively on the website as a "post".
One thing I will be doing is writing evergreen content to help with traffic flow but does anybody else have any suggestions? I do have Google Search Console set up as well. Any advice, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
