I have an interview next week at a local news site as an SEO Manager. So far so good. Now I have to prepare a presentation for the interview.

The question I have to answer within this presentation is: We are currently ranking on position 25 for the keyword "news" with our home page, we want to be in the top 3 in the future. How do you go about achieving this goal? Describe the todos and the strategy behind it.

I already have a rough roadmap how I would proceed there, but would like to know your unbiased opinion on this and learn how you would proceed there step by step (on- and offpage)?
