Can non-seo'd blog articles hurt SEO?
I am an SEO contractor for a particular company. They have an agency doing other digital marketing, and as part of it they do some blog articles. The articles are miserable from an SEO standpoint and will never rank. The articles are fine in terms of substance and readability, they're just thin (around 300 words) and have no attention to keywords. It's worth noting that I am also doing SEO'd blogs for them, so their SEO is doing very good.
Should I be concerned about it affecting overall SEO?
Should I noindex these pages so I don't waste Google's crawl budget?
Can non-SEO'd blog content benefit other digital marketing channels? (Right now I'm giving the agency the benefit of the doubt that their articles are more for education, branding, etc. and they are building paid and social traffic to those pages, but sheesh its cringe to see as an SEO)
Should I mention this to the client or let the agency do their thing?
