hi I am very new to this SEO thing. So I bought a website on Flippa as I wanted to explore website creation etc and spend a couple hundred on a fairly decent amazon affiliate website for the price. I figured if I ended up wrecking it, I only spend a few hundred so not the end of the world.

I have had it for a few weeks now and the articles were written in quite terrible english but were ranking in the top 10 for some low volume keywords. I decided to rewrite one of the articles (make it more engaging and add tables summarizing the product etc) and I used youtube video reviews of the product as research.

I was tracking it on Moz and the page actually gained a few ranks about two weeks in however today I got a report that the page had completely tanked out of the top 50 for all the keywords it was ranking for.

Has anyone had this happen to them before? I am super paranoid about touching anything else on the website now.
