How to Approach Similar Keyword Variants for Organic Search
Hi all,
I’m doing some keyword research and don’t know the best approach to thinking about keywords that are almost exactly the same.
For example: -leash for dog -best leash for dog -best leash for a dog -best leash on dog -the best leash for a dog
If I were to group these similar keywords and attempt to state each of them somewhere in my page content, would I take the average of their estimated monthly search volumes, or would I add their estimated monthly search volumes?
Also, is it even good practice to try to state all of them or should I focus only on the one that’s the most grammatically correct and let google match the similar keywords to my single most grammatically correct keyword?
Also, just for the record, I’m not planning on squeezing keywords with very poor grammar into my pages. I’d try to make all of them work in a way that sounds correct and if it can’t happen I will leave them out of the article.
Thank you!
