Do you noindex your category and tag pages on WordPress sites?

It should be noted that Google Does not recognize the difference between different category pages or filter pages or search pages. Essentially Google sees all of these pages as being equivalent and it's more a matter of the kind of content that you're providing there. But are you worried about duplicate content with category and tags?
