Is it a necessity to do alot of content writing to be good in SEO? I know content writing plays a huge part in boosting and ranking but in order to be an expert in that field do you really need those writing skills?

I'm new and currently still learning SEO (self study), the technical parts of SEO are interesting but when it comes to content writing I just don't have the desire and fire to come out with a content or article.

What makes an SEO expert considered an expert? In terms of specific skill (keyword research, html expert eg)
