Are page sources cached?

I have been told that a backlink has been switched from nofollow to dofollow but it still shows nofollow.

I have checked the page source with multiple browsers, devices, networks, cleared cache, etc.

Is it possible that the page source is cached by the browser itself?

What is another way for me to check if the link is followed?
