Multi-national websites, anyone got experience?
Hi guys, I'll quickly run through what happened and will see if anyone has any pointers. I had a .com domain which was going to be UK focused 1st and then would have subdirectories for different countries. Had a bit of an issue and the home .com UK had to be redirected to com/en due to language settings. Had a nightmare after a while so pulled the site, got a whole new site built and moved the content, and improved the homepage content, and more importantly could have the homepage set as .com. The site now has 4 sub-directories, UK, Ireland, India and Canada. All added to search console separately and all have the locations set correctly but they just don't perform correctly in the correct google searches. For example the Ireland section is getting lots of impressions from India, yet the Indian section is getting hardly anything. Most impressions for the whole site come from USA, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Brazil lol. Any tips to get this aligned correctly? Is there something basic I've missed off? All sections are SEO'd for those countries, i.e country in text and titles etc. Any pointers would be great. Thanks
