Landing pages vs product pages?

I’m setting up our first go at email marketing and am wondering how I’d use a landing page for a product without cannibalizing the product page. I’m realizing that I wrote my product page more like a landing page, it’s wordy and kind of long.

If I were to begin making some landing pages for the products featured in our newsletter, would it be best to leave things alone to preserve current #2 ranking, or should I look to build some landing pages to use in conjunction with pared-down product pages on Shopify? I think I’m struggling with figuring out how I’d use both types of pages effectively without diluting my current ranking.
