Indian “brand competitor” is sending bot traffic to my website

My agency website has the same brand name as an Indian website selling digital marketing courses.

I now outrank them for the brand terms and I’m 99% certain that they’re sending hundreds of bots to my website.

A while ago I noticed that my company page on LinkedIn had an extra employee. I checked and it was the CEO of the said company, who had added their position as the CEO of my company. I reported it and it’s now been removed.

But now, I often notice a huge spike in websitetraffic with high bounce rate and low page duration. I check the acquisition channel in my analytics and this traffic is coming from a bot website.

We have a firewall set up and we’re also using Cloudflare CDN, but it’s annoying because it skews my analytics data.
