So my site is starting to take a hit from the Core Web Vitals Google update, presumably. When I run the site through Google Lighthouse. It tells me I've got a Render Blocking Resources issue.
I've solved all the other issues in terms of Page Speed. I'm just left with this one. So far, I've removed all unused scripts and transferred my scripts from a free, slow CDN or external server to my server.
I'm still getting a 5-second plus delay for render-blocking resources which is starting to affect my Google ranking. The thing is though when I run the site through webpagetest.org for a 3G connection.
I get a page speed of around 3 seconds or less. For Google Lighthouse, the page speed is over 6 seconds.
The only thing left is to run code coverage and start picking out unused JS code from the various scripts. I'd prefer not to have to do that though.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
