When does the Google search copy of our website get updated?

We are a mental health office (hiring therapists and servicing clients) and we launched our website and set up SEO about 6 months ago. Yesterday, I noticed that we were finally on the first page of the keyword+city that we aimed for. Strangely, we have not received any increase in business so I did some digging, and I found the reason why -- our web dev or SEO consultant accidentally put in MASSAGE therapy for all the image descriptions throughout the site. I noticed that the Google search description was the copy from the image alternative text and all of them are listed as 'Massage Therapy Office'. Even our Ahrefs report showed that we are very popular with people searching for a Massage therapist.

I went into my website and removed all the 'Massage' words from the images. I was wondering how long it would take for this to get updated? I can't believe I missed this and I'm hoping this doesn't affect our search results long term.
