Phyton with BigQuery scraping results on Google and Bing

First of all, Hello, I’m new here!

Quick question, sort of asking myself a rhetoric one:

• Major eCommerce websites are scraping results/keywords from Google and Bing with the help of a Python custom script and then compiling them with Big Query, sort them by relevance and the insert into their internal search engine so it pops up on Google for any possible sh***ty product or term.

Has anybody seen this in action? I’m asking because in Romania, there is a garbage kinda marketplace called eMag who practices that. I’ve seen some bits of code by their freelancers, but not much.
