launched a month ago, average position keeps increasing but not impressions?

I launched a new site about a month ago in the video game sphere. without going into the specifics for the content.. I got from zero to ~10 clicks/day and 300 impressions/day with an average position in the low 20s inside of 2 weeks. Then over the last 2 more weeks I creeped into the average position of 15 (new high) and 20-25 clicks/day (Google Search Console data here) and it seems like my CTR is stable around 4%, my average position keeps slowing increasing.. but my daily impressions seem to be stuck at ~500. I thought those would be kind of tied together?

As an aside, it would be so interesting to know of patterns to look out for.. like for instance.. if a site is usually doing as well as mine in the first 4 weeks.. is that usually a reliable indicator that 2-4-6 months in it will have improved? This is assuming almost no change in the way the site operates aside from natural growth. I know it's meant to be slow.. but how predictable is it?
