Traffic doesn't boost SEO so i guess the whole schema goes down with that.
Nevertheless, if you are planning to create a website with so different topics, visits that come to one topic may visit and of the others so from that point is not a bad idea.
In most cases, even more when the website sells a service, i would go for separate versions of each, so you can take advantage of an unique domain and focus on one topic, something that will make the source 100% valuable for a group of keywords, even when it has few pages
