Can a page consisting of multiple different non-canonical content rank?

Education website - we have 30 sub-topic pages that explain concepts in depth. They are canonical pages.

If we put all those pages together into one page, would that page be able to rank?

Example:

Algebra

• Adding
• Subtracting
• Dividing
• Etc.

"Adding" is its own page - with the canonical tag. If I put "adding" "subtracting" "dividing" and "etc" together into one big page called "algebra", would "algebra" be able to rank well?

Or would it be wise to make "algebra" the canonical tag? (depending on how many people search the terms of course)
