Are we not relying & focusing more on tools & plugins rather than the real SEO?

My question is this.

Aren’t we going more and more towards easy to do way to do SEO?

Aren’t we relying too much on easy/bulk tools/plugins and overlooking how to do SEO properly?

It is like forgetting the real destination & the real platform or the vehicle that will get us there but relying on side posts or road signs that only point us towards something but will not take you there?

We may not have realised that.

We rely more and more on plugins/tools.

And instead of focusing on the core issue of SEO actually, we are more focused on how to fix what the plugin/tool is doing.

Looks like we are (slowly) going way off from real SEO & learning it properly & best; learning how to use it for search engines; & mastering it. And we are going towards how to use tools or plugins & which ones to use to achieve easy ways and to do things in BULK.
