SEO learning path

Hello everyone,My wife is currently studying SEO and some digital marketing for what we're hoping will be her new career.

She's studied from a youtube tutorial and she's currently taking this course named "Advanced Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Program" (I'd include links but it seems to get the post deleted)

She's complained about the lack of exercises and hands-on training, so I offered that we create some dummy websites which she can practise on

We've also considered another 4-weekend online training as it includes some hands-on training, but it's a bit expensive (around 500$) so we're keeping it for last

So the question is:Does this sound like a good plan to secure her a junior position sometime in the near future?

And of course any recommendations are more than welcome
