I've had a request for a backlink from toptal, on a software development article I wrote.

They praised my content first before asking for it (nice try!).

I'm probably just going to respond with something like "glad you like content so much - would you be able to reciprocate and also link to my article?"

I doubt I'll hear back but it's worth a shot!
