Does quantity matter?

I've this question of quality vs quantity in my mind for a long time

I've written Blog posts over 4000 words on my blog and in total there are 22 posts, average length of which is 1500-2000 words

My Blog is 10 months old, and is a blogspot, but all this generates only about 100-200 visits monthly

I've seen some people saying quantity>quality for getting traffic

So i wanna know what's true?

And should i start posting like 400-500 words articles on a daily basis and target 100 posts ?
