Copysmith "Early Adopters" Scam - can we start holding these SAAS scammers accountable for their deceptive marketing?
Has anyone else here been slapped by the Copysmith early adopters scam?
They marketed a plan that was $500 - crossed out the $500 and said you could lock in a rate of $59 if you signed up as an "early-adopter."
Well low and behold, there is no more $500 plan (just an enterprise plan with no pricing) and their most expensive plan now is $59 plan. All the early adopters just got shifted over to the pro plan - so there was absolutely NO BENEFIT to have locked in the early adopter's rate - let alone anything worth $500.
And what's worse?
I contacted them to complain, and it's like these guys can't even wrap their heads around their own scam. They keep saying they don't understand what my problem is because my plan is better than before yada yada.
Then they offered me a small discount for 1 year... and then a $59 refund. WTF?
I'm like "yo... I'M SUPPOSED TO BE ON A $500 PLAN.... at least give me some extra staff sub-accounts or blog credits or SOMETHING extra for being an early adopter.
NOTHING.
