Hello, all kinda in a sticky situation. I made a website as a proof of concept and to test myself to see if I can do it. 4-month later an I'm very happy with the progress I have made. I want to now commit to the site and get a better domain and better hosting.

My current plan is to export the site using a plug-in thing. Import on a new WordPress on new hosting with a new domain. Then I know I need some URL forwarding but don't know how yet. I also believe I need to tell GSC about the name change correct? Any suggestions/feedback or tips on the migration??

I know my ranking will suffer but I believe it will come back in time as the keywords I rank for are low-med comp. The same content on a new domain should rank when google spiders it right?
