Does On-Oage SEO optimization have any impact to Google Ads performance?

I have relatively new WooCommerce webshop, no SEO work has been done to the webshop.

I am planning to run a decent size Google Ads campaign, however, would it be worth investing money and hiring SEO agency to perform On-Page optimization?

Does good internal webshop optimization benefit Google Ads at all?
