What could I do with a content site?

I run an ecomm business selling a physical product and there's a content site for sale in the niche I'm in. The site is under 2k, 3 years old, has a low DA, and made about $300 in profits in 2022. I'm considering purchasing the site and have two ideas...

• The site has over 150+ articles. Could I buy the site, scrape the content from it, edit it and use it on my ecomm website? I need more content on my website and planned to hire writers this year, but perhaps I could use this content instead, removing the articles from the website as I added them to mine to avoid duplicate content. There's a part of this that feels unethical, but maybe I'm overthinking it. Advice?
• Would the smarter option be to buy the site and keep it, but add links to my products throughout the content?
