Gumroad and SEO/Digital Marketing

Greetings,

I'm about to publish my info product, and I'm using Gumroad as "my" website. I have a strong belief in my info product, and I believe it will do very well for a variety of reasons that I won't go into here. Because I believe my product will do well, I want to try to do certain things right from the start. I was wondering if there is a significant difference (in terms of SEO or marketing) in using a Gumroad site instead of a self-built/bought wordpress site. Do I get any advantages from having a WordPress site that I wouldn't get from Gumroad and vice versa? Or is the difference so insignificant that it doesnt matter what I use? Gumroad is cheap and easy, since why I prefer using it, I want to use my time as efficient as possible.
