internal linking and external linking. newbie questions

So I'm pretty knew to this and there is so much information out there. I read that internal linking and external linking is important for SEO but can it just be any links to reliable sites?

My site is plantingseedsofhappiness.com and does not have many ways to link. It has around 10 blog posts and they are all different from eachother. I can make a: "also read this" list but scared that it will only confuse google more because the things in the list are too different. So not really sure what to do with internal linking.

External linking: a little bit more room. I do have a podcast with each blog post. Would you advise me to link every podcast episode for SEO purposes or is that not doing much because it is to the same source the whole time: spotify?

If internal linking is not really possible for me and I focus on external linking only, is that still giving me many views?
