making a published article rank

Given that I have already:

- optimized the meta title, meta description, URL, image alt text, image filename, image title, caption, keywords, and anchor text

- added images and videos to the article

- used the same or more word count than the competitors'

- made sure the writing caters to the reader

and my article still has not ranked within the first few weeks/months of publishing, what else can I do to make it rank aside from tweaking it or adding more info to it? Thanks!
