Necessary Applications

I’m writing this post to ask two questions:

The first is, which kind of tools can I use? I already use Google Analytics, and Trends, but want to expand my library. I will begin working next week as a marketing specialist, so I was thinking about getting a subscription to Moz.

The other question is about HTML and web design. While I know how to check the title tags, headers, meta data, etc., I don’t know how to implement my recommendations because my domain host doesn’t give me access. Is it necessary for me to learn how to write code? Is the .com version of Wordpress very different from the .org?
