Sitemaps: robots.txt vs Search Console

So I ran across this working on a site today and I'm not sure how big of an issue it would be.

The robots.txt was denoting an XML sitemap that was on the site's previous domain (so not the correct sitemap), while the sitemap submitted to Google Search Console was the correct one. Would it cause an issue for crawling if the sitemaps did not match up? No errors were shown within search console for this.
