Just had to get this off my chest!

I live in an area with about a half a million people. Spent a couple years SEO'ing my side business web design/dev site from not ranking at all, to fluctuating between spot 2 and spot 5 on the first page of Google for 2 sought after local keywords. Also rank in the local map pack for tons of local keyword terms (city + web design, seo + city, digital marketing + city and many more variations).

I remember thinking "I can't wait!! Gonna have so many clients coming my way, I don't have to go to networking events, cold email or cold call!"

And since about two years ago getting those good rankings, I've received probably... 8-10 inquiries.

Yeah. And keep in mind about half are tire-kicking, /r/choosingbeggars types.

Meanwhile I ranked my wife's wedding floral business site, and within the first month of her ranking on maps/organic search, she's been getting CONSTANT leads weekly. It's absolutely insane the difference. She can't keep up, booked solid. Her type of business does get a hell of a lot more traffic though, compared to web companies / digital agencies. Maybe that's it, I don't know.

Just expected more is all.

Anyone else have the same experience?
