Pages behind login (after x amount of views)

Hi all,

I'm wondering if you can help me understand how Google treat content that is locked behind a login, but only after x amount of visits.

For example, let's say I have a website that you can view free content on 5 times, after which you need to signup. Can Google crawl and index that content? And will they rank it well? Or will all the content suffer as a result?

Any help would be appreciated!
