Numerous Sitemap issues

Hey fellows, I need help.

I am working on the clients websites which has numerous Sitemaps generated by yoast (when I open the Sitemap - it’s what it says - generated by yoast)

The issue is that there are like at least 8 sitemaps, and only two seems to be correct.

Yoast is a free license.

How can I identify why yoast is generating so many Sitemaps and how can this be (re)configured?
