Ahrefs Commits Fraud on Customer?
I purchased a 2nd Ahrefs trial with a new email because I just wasn’t ready to commit to a $99 a month service I only would use maybe once a week for like 5 keyword searches.
Little did I know they actually prohibit this in their terms of service.
I decided for the second time it was not worth such a hefty investment for something I’m barely going to use anyway. But this time I can’t cancel the trial?!
They literally removed my ability to cancel the trial because I made a new account!
I went to their settings > payment info yadda yadda and see they have a fast spring link and you can remove payment information so I removed my card thinking it’s perfectly fine to forget about the entire thing.
Nope. Couldn’t have been more wrong. They literally took my card information from my first account and charged me on the new account!
This has gotta be illegal guys. Not only did they charge me $99 they disabled the account. They literally tried stealing 100 bucks from me because I didn’t know they had a policy on making trials.
I ended up getting a refund through support threatening to get a lawyer involved but common wtf is this. It’s like their standard practice too. It’s a dirty scam. I would MAYBE understand if it was a free trial getting abused but no it’s $7 freaking dollars.
Avoid corrupt and money hunger Ahrefs.
