What I'm thinking of doing is adding a directory page to ones of my sites that lists local groups about the world. I've not been keeping up with SEO, but I remember from (many) years ago, lots of outbound links with very few (if any) inbound links was a bad thing. Is this still the case or have search engine algorithms worked out that sometimes that's a useful thing for the site users?

How will adding a page like this impact my SEO?
