Local directories when living abroad

Help a foreigner get some traction, ha!

Any advice for improving local listings when living abroad in a foreign language? I'm from the States and living in France where I don't speak the local language.

I setup a GMB page, but wondering what to do next? My next thought was to submit my company into the available local directories. I reached out to an SEO company specialized in local citations, but they declined me saying that they only service companies based in Anglo-countries.

Just wondering what I could be working on. And also look for referrals in France as I work with consultant/small business in the same shoe as me.....just happen to be living in France but 100% work is abroad
