How do you go about finding new content writers?

The title says it all. I recently quit my full-time job as a content writer and looking for freelance opportunities. Other than Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer.com, I message a lot of people on forums and relevant subreddits but get zero responses.

Do you just let content writers contact you or contact them yourself on the above platforms? I need help figuring out where SEOs find their writers.
