What is the value of being no. 1 on Google?

I typed the exact same question on Google and it brought me to two links dated back to 2013? That you get 33% of internet traffic. Another one was dated 2017? Does it follow that being no. 1 has no value, if no recent content is coming out? If this is an anomaly and no one is simply writing about the value of ranking no. 1, how much traffic and business are you getting if you're no.1 in search intent for the keyword you used to rank no. 1?
