Roadmap to SEO ?

Hi everyone, I’m kind of a Web Developer. Recently I’m working on marketing project but only working on development related tasks.

Listening to their marketing discussions I recently got some interest to learn SEO proper way.

Like I want to start my own business website and try SEO strategies and marketing strategies on my own website. Starting from choosing a SEO friendly name & domain for the company. But I don’t know where should I start from.

Please show me some directions or tell me roadmap to follow to achieve this goal.
